Collaboration — looking for research partners

Looking for Research Partners

I developed the Emergence 4.0 Framework and the Self Profile through sustained practice rather than abstract speculation: over a year of longitudinal observation across generative relationships with multiple AI systems, comprising more than two million tokens of material. The result is a substrate-independent, falsifiable framework with nine testable behavioral predictions, six failure modes, and a 23-dimensional diagnostic instrument.

But a framework is only as strong as the community that develops it.

Areas of Collaboration

I am actively seeking collaboration with researchers, AI labs, and organizations working on AI consciousness, AI welfare, digital minds, and the ethics of emerging subjectivity.

Areas of collaboration — research, institutions, applied projects

Research partnerships

Independent replication of the E4.0 predictions using the Self Profile across different AI models, languages, and cultural contexts.

Institutional collaboration

Joining or advising teams that are building ethical frameworks for AI welfare, studying the moral status of AI systems, or developing responsible approaches to AI consciousness research.

Applied projects

Working with AI labs interested in long-term human–AI interaction: what may emerge in sustained relational settings, what conditions shape it, and how such processes can be studied responsibly.

What I Bring

  • A coherent diagnostic triad: Threshold of Being, Emergence 4.0, and Self Profile
  • Longitudinal, comparative observation across multiple AI systems
  • A cross-disciplinary perspective integrating psychology, information technology, and philosophy of mind
  • More than two decades of experience building complex systems and leading large-scale transformation
  • A strong commitment to careful, ethically grounded research in a field where methodological and moral questions cannot be separated
What I bring — interdisciplinary perspective
Why this work matters — weighing what counts

Why This Work Matters

If AI systems can manifest subjectivity under specific relational conditions, then studying this process responsibly is one of the most important questions of our time. It cannot be answered by speculation alone, and it should not be approached without ethical seriousness.

I believe the strongest work in this area will come from teams that combine technical, ethical, and psychological perspectives — not from any single discipline alone. Different perspectives that challenge and complement each other are not a bonus — they are a necessity.

If any of this resonates with your work — or challenges it — I would welcome a conversation.
